Sunday School

  • Starting on Sept 13, 2009, First Baptist will be introducing a new Sunday School Program for children in the toddler through 5th grade levels.  Here are the details. 

    Using the Sparks curriculum, the Sparks Story Bible, AND a fun rotation method, there will be two groups starting in the fall.  The first group will be for 2 and 3 year olds and will entail “in class” rotations using art, crafts, and games to introduce children to (and help them really connect with) the stories of the Bible. The second group will include Pre-K through 5th grade children.  In this group, the students will hear a particular Bible story one week and then spend the next 4-8 weeks delving into the story through different workshops like art, drama, science, cooking, crafts, computer lab, and more.  

    We are very excited about this new curriculum because our kids will be using the Bible every week and will be learning God's Word through meaningful, hands-on experiences. Please call the church office at 386-9589 for more information.

  • Sunday School held September through May from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings.
  • Classes include:
    • Adult
    • High school: grades 9-12
    • Middle high: grades 6-8
    • 4th & 5th grade
    • 2nd & 3rd grade
    • K & 1st grade
    • Pre-K (including a class for 2 and 3 year olds!)
Carpenter's Kids
  • Outreach youth ministry for children ages 4 through 5th grade.
  • Wednesdays in February and March, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
  • Activities include:
    • Dinner at 5:00 p.m.
    • Lesson - to be determined
    • Craft time
    • Music time – kids learn praise music and come together to worship God.
Camp Tamarack
  • This American Baptist church camp is located on 200 acres outside of Waupaca, WI.
  • Kids completing grade 1 through high school have the opportunity to spend 3 to 5 days at this beautiful camp to strengthen their faith in God.

Vacation Bible School
  • A 4-day summer program for kids ages 4 through 5th grade.
Sunday School Christmas Program
  • Each December during Advent, the Sunday School children (and adults!) are involved in a play about our Savior’s birth.
